Independent vocational evaluations and expert witness testimony for personal injury, family law, employment, and workers' compensation matters, built to hold up in California courts, and beyond.
Vocational expertise, without an agenda.
Expert Witness Testimony
Trial, deposition, arbitration, and administrative hearings. I've testified in thousands of Social Security disability hearings since 2017 and been retained across California, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Texas, and Hawaii.
What I do
Vocational Evaluations & Loss of Earning Capacity Assessments I determine
what a person is realistically capable of earning — in general, or before and after an injury. That means looking closely at impairment, education, work history, rehabilitation potential, transferable skills, and the labor market they're actually competing in. The result is a report built to withstand scrutiny, for plaintiffs and defendants alike.
M.ED., CRC, CVE
Before starting this practice, I spent eight years as a rehabilitation counselor inside the workers' compensation and disability insurance world — the kind of experience that teaches you what a defensible analysis actually looks like under pressure. I built my methodology and testimony under seasoned vocational experts and as a Social Security Vocational Expert and carry the same rigor into every evaluation I complete.
If you need an opinion you can trust regardless of which side hired you, that's the work I do.
Meet Jessica
I'm Jessica Reyes, and for the past eight years, attorneys on both sides of the table have retained me for one reason: my opinion doesn't move to fit a case. It moves with the evidence.
